Green Drinks is a regular event held in Manchester city centre venues. It brings like-minded people together to discuss a wide range of topics related to the climate crisis.
The evenings tend to be informal and usually centre around a guest speaker who will spark a conversation with the attendees. The tone of the events is always positive and encouraging of everyone's personal journeys.
The Green Drinks community is really welcoming and supportive. We highly recommend giving these events a try!
The people behind the event
Green Drinks Manchester is a community of passionate individuals interested in sustainability. Green Drinks brings together people from across the spectrum of ‘green’ – including business, academia, the arts, and passionate members of the public. There are 800 Green Drinks events across the planet each month - welcome to the community.
The next event will encourage the Green Drink community to talk about the potential solutions to the Climate Emergency. So come and join the Green Drink community to learn what you can do to help reduce carbon emissions and lessen the impact of climate change.
Our primary purpose is to act as a way for the environmentally passionate people of Manchester to come together in a relaxed setting to have fun. Meetings are centred around a short presentation by a keynote speaker followed by a short discussion, networking, and as many drinks as people feel like having. Green Drinks Manchester also acts as a forum for:
Collaboration - working together to share ideas, solve problems and contribute to making Greater Manchester a more sustainable city.
Career and Personal Development - aggregating local career and project opportunities in one place.
Networking - making new connections, and achieving shared learning through discussion of thought-provoking topics.
